NPFL: Bayelsa United’s performance excites Gov Diri
Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri has charged Bayelsa United to win the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and pick a continental ticket.
Governor Diri, who spoke after watching United’s first home game against Barau FC at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa on Sunday gave a pat on the back to the team after the 2-0 home victory.
The Governor said he is excited with the team’s brilliant start to the season with the back to back victories over Shooting Stars away and Barau at home.
He promised the team a brand new coaster bus if they continue to make the state proud even as he doled out N2m to the players and technical crew for the excellent start to the season.
Gov Diri passed a vote of confidence on the club’s new tactician Monday Odigie stressing that he knows the coach will deliver on the job.
