NUMW honors Fola Akinosun with Excellent Leadership Award
The Nigeria Union of Mine Workers (NUMW), Oyo State Council, has bestowed the Distinguished Leadership Award on Dr. Fola Akinosun in appreciation of his remarkable achievements in leadership and service.
Speaking at the event, the association’s President, Akinola Akinmola, praised Dr. Akinosun as a man of honor and a great scholar whose leadership abilities still motivate many.
“Dr. Fola Akinosun is a man of honor and a respected academic whose leadership, ethics, and dedication to social development are outstanding. This honor recognizes his good influence and the values he embodies, which are consistent with the ideals of our union.”
In his reaction, Dr. Akinosun thanked the group for finding him deserving of the honour. He also reaffirmed his commitment to continuing to serve humanity and promote positive ideals in society.
“I am profoundly honored and appreciative to the Nigeria Union of Mine Workers, Oyo State Council, for recognizing me. This honor increases my resolve to continue serving humanity and making important contributions to the growth and development of our society.”
He has consistently supported the youth by sponsoring awards and providing scholarships to many youths across the state; a gesture he has sustained over the years, which reflects his deep commitment to uplifting the next generation.
