NYG: Nassarawa’s Omotina cruises to badminton second round

Team Nasarawa are on the verge of winning their third medal at the ongoing 7th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State.
Omotina Lucky Goodness is the athlete on this path following positive results against her Bayelsa opponent whom he defeated (21-14;21-7) and the player from Abia Abia State whom she sent packing by two straight sets of (21-16; 21:15)
She will play her next game against Team FCT, Abuja on Thursday, and victory for her in that match will see her qualifying for the Quarter-finals stage.
Meanwhile, the duo of Emmanuel Kassim (Taekwondo Silver Medalist) and Godwin John(Golf Bronze Medalist) were presented with their medals on Wednesday.
Speaking on the chances of Nassarawa State winning more medals at the Games, the Public Relations Officer of the State’s Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Eche Amos expressed optimism that the Nassarawa State athletes will making some podium finish before the end of the championship.
