An NGO, Anambra Masses for Good Governance (AMAGG), has called on the people of Anambra to support the state’s Governor-elect, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo to succeed.

Soludo will be inaugurated in March as the 6th elected governor of the state.

Speaking at Awka on Thursday, the President of AMAGG, Mr Ikechukwu Anyene, said that they had noted the promises of good governance Soludo had been making and with his track record of achievements, the group believed that he was determined to succeed.

“But we also know that it will be a battle between the incoming governor and the political jobbers. So, we are equally determined to mobilise the masses in support of Soludo for our collective interest.

“We call on the incoming governor to rescue the economy of the state from the stranglehold of non-state actors in order to release money needed to develop the state.

“He should not be deterred by the shenanigans of political jobbers which will surely come because the hopes of Anambra citizens at home and in the Diaspora is in his hands,’’ Anyene said.
He promised that AMAGG would be with him all the time as long as he respected the contract he had entered into with Anambra people.
