Ripples in Ibadan Golf Club, as member drags Lady Captain to Court
The Lady Captain of the prestigious Ibadan Golf Club (IGC) Mrs. Dorcas Oluwatunmise has been taken to court by a member of the club, Comrade Bayo Titilayo Sodo demanding a sum of N10 million for defamation.
The case with suit number I/28/24 between Comrade Bayo Titilayo Sodo (Applicant) versus Mrs. Dorcas Oluwatunmise (Defendant) has been filled at the High Court of Justice Ring road, Ibadan.
The matter according to an investigation emanated from an incident that happened during a Thursday Club’s kitty on 12th October 2023, when the defendant alleged an alteration in a golf scorecard, and the Club’s leadership ordered an inquiry into the case.
The Lady Captain when contacted said she’s going to get back to the writer with her reactions but never did as at the time of filing this report.
The matter has been generating mixed reactions within the golfing circle especially among the members of the Ibadan Golf Club since Wednesday that the court summon was served to the Lady Captain.
