Private schools games kick off in Lagos

A total of twelve Schools are featuring in the 3rd edition of Private Schools Games that flagged off Wednesday morning at the Teslim Balogun stadium, Lagos.

Speaking on the Games, Founder/CEO of School Games Ltd,,Yemi Egbeoluwa, described it as an annual event to boost sports development in and around schools in Lagos and Oyo States.

He said it has been fun for the students engaging in various sporting activities just as he expressed gratitude to parents and teachers for their cooperation.

“Private School sports is about effectively combining sports with Education. We have began with men and women football at Teslim Balogun Stadium and we saw lot of talents begging to be discovered.

“There would be more games such as athletics and basketball event between Thursday and Friday at the National Institute For Sports ( NIS) National Stadium, Lagos , not forgetting Video Games before the closing ceremony on Saturday.

“Our appeal goes to the corporate world to partner us in providing excitement and discovery of budding stars “,said Egbeoluwa that listed Corona ,Greensprings ,Leedforf ,Rivarbank , Middle Hall ,Seedtime of Lagos and Best Legacy of Oyo among participating schools.
The championship continues tomorrow at the National Institute For Sports (NIS) and Agege Stadium.
