SWAN @ 60 : NNL Chairman Aluo bags Veteran Sports Journalist Award
Chairman of Nigeria National League (NNL), Mr. George Aluo has been nominated as one of those to be conferred with the prestigious Veteran Journalist Award by the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, (SWAN)
According to a letter by the association signed by it’s National Secretary, Ikenna Okonkwo, the award is in recognition of his outstanding contributions, professionalism and enduring service to the growth and integrity of development of sports journalism in the country.
” Over the years, your commitment, mentorship and passion for the craft have inspired generations of journalists and enriched the nations sporting narrative.
” As a valued player and pillar of our profession, this recognition is a token of appreciation for your sacrifices and legacy in promoting excellence, fairness and credibility in sports reporting’, said the statement.
The award ceremony which is part of activities marking the 60th anniversary of SWAN is scheduled to hold from October, 29- 31, 2025 at the VIP Lounge, Package A, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja
