Anambra FA boss, Iloenyosi mourns Uche Okagbue

By Ifeanyi Eduzor

Chairman of Anambra FA, Chikelue Iloenyosi has described as most painful the death of Solution FC handler, Uche Okagbue.

Iloenyosi while writhing in pains over the sad development said Okagbue’s demise is a big setback for football in the state and country.

“Okagbue served both state and country very well. This is a big loss and serious setback for football,” Iloenyosi said.

The Anambra FA boss stressed that the news of the death of the former Junior International came to the FA as a rude shock considering the good job he (Okagbue) was doing in his team Solution FC of Awka, a club he was working hard to make history with.

It would be noted that the late soccer tactician was not new to the NNL as he had before the current season handled FRSC of Abuja, Sporting Lagos among others.

He did excellently well while with FC Ifeanyi Uba in the premiership, and even qualified them for the Super six. His contributions in the game both as a player and coach cannot be easily forgotten.

Uche Okagbue had stints also with Bendel Insurance and Julius Berger as a player before jetting out of the country to feature in Oman’s top League.
