Wrestlers in war of words as ‘Night of Champions’ in Cameroon get closer
With few weeks to the much talked about ‘ Night of Champions’ wrestling championships in Cameroon, wrestlers that will fight for honours have been engaging in war of words ahead of the event
Pro- Wrestling Africa ( PWA) in conjunction with Cameroon Pro- Wrestling Federation (FECACATCH) will on Saturday, May 24, 2025 hold the biggest fight of the decade in African continent in Yaounde, the Capital of Cameroon.
The fight tagged ‘ Night of Champions’ slated for Palais Des Sports , Yaounde will be headlined by a clash between Franch man, Heddi Karaoui with ring name, France Machine who is the current World Wrestling Association heavyweight champion and Cameroonian, Alian Noudem A.K.A Wolf NDA, current Texas World Wrestling heavyweight champion who will be fighting for the World Pro- Wrestling heavyweight title.
Also on the card is African Light heavyweight title fight between, Ghanian Pro- Wrestling Federation Light heavyweight champion, De Miser and the Cameroonian Pro- Wrestling Light heavyweight champion, Kirikou.
Speaking from his base in France,
Karaoui, the France Machine promised fans that the fight will live up to expectation as he’s coming to Africa to not only showcase his prowess but to retire Wolf NDA and take the belt back to Paris.
” I’m fully prepared for the challenge and as a wrestler who have fought all over Europe and came out victorious in all my fights, coming to Africa will be no difference
” I understand that Wolf NDA has been boasting that he’ll beat me in front of his countrymen but I will be coming to his country to teach him wrestling lesson after which, he’ll never dream of facing me in the ring again”, he boasted
Also speaking, Texas based Wolf NDA noted that he cannot afford to disappoint his home fans on May 24 even as he appealed to Cameroonians to troop out in their thousands to watch and support him as he dismantles his opponent.
NDA noted that having wrestled in the USA, the home of professional wrestling, he’s fully prepared to win the belt and give it as a present to his country’s President Paul Biya.
In his own remarks, Ghanian champion, De Miser sent a warning to his Cameroonian opponent, advising him not to venture into the ring as he’ll be disgraced before his kinsmen before the end of the time limit allocated to their fight just as he stressed that he is not afraid fighting a home boy.
” I know am going to meet a hostile crowd in Cameroon but I’m not perturbed because I have fought across the continent and came out undefeated and the forthcoming bout will not be an exception.
” My advise to my opponent is to take an early bow because by the time I finish with him, those that know him will not be able to recognize him again
” Fighting away from home does not scare me. I have fought in Nigeria, Benin Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo, Congo DRC and came out victorious and this one won’t be an exception because am used to hostile crowd”, he stated
However , his opponent, Cameroonian Kirikou has dismissed his words as an empty threat, noting that he has what it takes to retire him from the mats man game
” I have heard what De Miser said about our fight but I want to tell him that it’s only an empty threat. This is the greatest opportunity for me to write my name in good in African wrestling and I cannot allow the opportunity to slip from me.
“The ring will do the talking and by the time I finish with him, he won’t be able to find his way back to Ghana”, he stated with confidence.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya has assured that his Federation is working closely with the Cameroon Wrestling Federation (FECACATCH) to ensure a successful championship noting that all arrangements are at advanced stage towards ensuring that fans are treated to the best of wrestling on that day
