Wrestlers storm Benin Republic for training programme

Cotonou, the commercial nerve centre of Benin Republic is bubbling with activities as wrestlers from various parts of the West African sub- region storm the country for a two day training programme for mats men in the region being organised by Pro-Wrestling Africa in conjunction with Benin Pro-Wrestling Federation (FEBECATCH).
The programme which holds from November 16-17, 2024 will attract wrestlers from Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Cote d’Ivoire, Liberia and the host nation Benin Republic.

Nigerian delegation to the programme is being led Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa (PWA), Olusesan Olukoya whose organisation is facilitating the two day event.
Samuel Omare Omene Johnson of Nigeria known around the pro wrestling world as Jimmy Palm “De African Dream” would be leading the training crew and would be supported by other experienced wrestlers like Samson “De Miser” from Ghana and Iron Lady Becky and Alexander De Queen while a veteran journalist Ifeanyi Eduzor is also in the delegation.
According to the programme of event released by the organisers, arrival is Friday, November, 15 with the training taking place on Saturday, November, 16 while departure is Sunday, November, 27, 2024.
To ensure a seamless programme, PWA had earlier donated T-shirts, banners, exercise books and other writing materials to the host country.
Meanwhile, President of FEBECATCH, Oke Ezechiel, the 1st vice president Wanvoegbe Germain and the Secretary, Bissi Mohinou have all promised participants that they will be treated to the best hospitality the French speaking country is noted for even as they stated that wrestlers in the country are eagerly awaiting the commencement of the training programme.
” We’re all excited that for the first time, our country will be hosting training programme for all wrestlers in the West African sub-region and our promise is that we’re ready to treat all the participants with the best hospitality our country is noted for
” It’s equally important that we commend Pro-Wrestling Africa for it’s efforts at developing the mats man game in all countries of the continent and we at Benin Republic will fully embrace the sports to keep our youths busy”, they concluded.
