Training of PWA wrestling talents ends in grand style in Belgium

The two weeks wrestling training tour organised by Pro-Wrestling Africa ( PWA) in conjunction with the Belgium Pro- Wrestling Federation has successfully ended in Brussels, the Belgian Capital.
Held at the Brussels Young Wrestling Style ground in Brussels from July 3rd – 14th, it afforded African mats men the opportunity of getting world class training by renowned trainer, Nsimba Bafuka popularly known as Shaolin Master who also doubles as President of BYWS and the Belgium Pro- Wrestling Federation.
The contingent which was led by the
Secretary General of Pro-Wrestling Africa, Olusesan Olukoya comprises of three Nigerian wrestlers namely; Christian Ugochukwu Obi A.K.A Eagle De Great, John Atula known as Big Joe in wrestling circles and Samuel Senior with his ring name as Otaka.
According to Olukoya who also doubles as Director of Publicity for the Nigeria Pro- Wrestling Federation as well as the Executive Director at the Pro- Wrestling Afrik Promotions Ltd, a registered company promoting professional wrestling in Nigeria and beyond, the tour enabled the wrestlers to get adequate exposure and train with the best facilities in Europe, describing it as the beginning of what to expect from the Federation.
” It’s a thing of joy that the training tour we organised at the Brussels Young Wrestling Style ground in Brussels, who are the rave of the moment in Europe was a success.
“Our wrestlers had the golden opportunity of training under world renowned trainer and were also exposed to the best facilities you can get anywhere in Europe and we at PWA will continue to organise such European tours to make African wrestlers be at par with their counterparts in Europe and America.
Olukoya who also holds the position
Chief Operation Officer (COO) and a board member of the Golden Wrestling Federacy (GWF) based in Florida, the USA under the auspices of Dr. Jim McDowell, the Golden Boy was full of praises to the African legend, Shaolin Master, Nsimba Bafuka who heads the BYWS and the Belgium Pro Wrestling Federation for the tour, promising that the collaboration between the two bodies will be sustained.
Speaking from Belgium the three wrestlers who participated in the training tour; Christian Ugochukwu Obi (Eagle De Great Nail), John Atula ( Big Joe) and Samuel Senior ( Otaka) described the tour as a life changing experience just as they appealed to the organisers to make it a regular event.
” We’re really excited to be part of this training tour which enabled us to learn the most modern techniques in professional wrestling as well as have opportunity to train with the best facilities in Europe.
” Kudos must go to PWA for what they’re doing in repositioning wrestling in the continent and the Brussels Young Wrestling Style (BYWS) under the leadership of Shaolin Master, Nsimba Bafuka for the partnership with PWA and we look forward to this being a regular event as it will benefit African wrestlers immensely”, they chorused.
Meanwhile, the training tour ended Sunday, July, 14 with the wrestlers observing Monday, July, 15 as rest day while departure is on Tuesday, July , 16, 2024.
