2023 Imo Governorship election: Anyanwu set to flag off campaign

Foregoing all unforeseen circumstances, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu (Samdaddy), the Imo State gubernatorial candidate of People’s Democratic Party, PDP for the State INEC scheduled governorship election on Saturday 11th November, has advanced plans to flag off the campaign for the realization of his age long ambition this Thursday (7/9/2023).

A press statement emanating from the frontline governorship hopeful with campaign slogan of Lets Save Imo Again informed that the crowd pulling event is scheduled to hold at Kanu Nwankwo Sports Complex, Aladimma Owerri.

The campaign secretariat emphatically stated that, the national, State and the 27 Local Government Area leadership of the political party as well as the diasporans will grace the historical event that would re-authentic Anyanwu as the governorship flag bearer of the opposition political party.

The secretariat informed that the campaign rally has been planned to be unprecedented in terms of mobilization of party members and supporters and likened it to the incidental return from exile by late Sir Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojiukwu few years after the end of Nigerian/Biafran civil war.

However, the statement was silent on whether any of the Governors in Nigeria under the political platform of the party will grace the expected evergreen occasion as a mark of solidarity.

Obviously, those who won elections using the party’s ticket in the State and National Assemblies as well as the party’s faithful will be there to demonstrate their massive supports and willingness of the party to return to Imo State Douglas House.

Highlights of the occasion will be handing over the party flag to Anyanwu and his running mate, Hon. Jones Onyeriri, unveiling of the party’s manifesto as well as the historical affirmation of endorsement by rainbow coalition of political parties cum myriads of support groups in which disables are inclusive.
