2025 AFCON: Chelle Defends His Substitution Against Tunisia, Promises Good Outing Against Uganda

Ahead of tomorrows game against Uganda at the Africa cup of nations in Fez , Morocco, Coach Eric Chelle is optimistic of the Super Eagles’ chances of winning this year’s Afcon.
Speaking at a crowded press conference, Chelle said the team is in good shape ahead of the game against the Canes of Uganda.
He revealed that Victor Osihmen and Stanley Nwabali struggled towards the end of Tunisia game but will be fit to face the East Africans tomorrow.
The gaffer declined to give his starting 11 for tomorrow’s game insisting that his choice of players will come after the training session billed for this evening at Sardienne sports complex.
Chelle disagreed with those faulting his substitution in the last two matches against Tanzania and Tunisia .
A defiant Chelle said his substitution remains the best choice for now.
Also speaking, Captain Wilfred Ndidi said the team is high spirit , physically and mentally.
The midfielder dedicated his goal against Tunisia to the memory of his late father.
He assured Nigerian that the team will continue to put smiles on the faces of Soccer fans.
“We know Nigerians are still angry for the world cup tickets but we will do our best with the Afcon .
