2025 Afro basketball Qualifiers : D’Tigers ready to roar against Libya

There is excitement in the camp of Nigeria senior male national basketball team, D’Tigers, ahead of the opening game of 2025 Afrobasket qualifiers between host Libya.
The Nigerian boys would be seeking for a win in the game against the host to bolster their chances of picking a ticket to the Afrobasket championship taking place in Cote D’Ivoire.
And with the team needing to win at least two of it’s games, the players have remained upbeat about their chances to redeem their chances in the 3rd Window of the qualifiers.
Speaking ahead of tomorrow’s game coach of the team, Abdulrahman Mohammed expresses confidence in the abilities of the boys to make Nigeria proud.
” The boys are in high spirits and are rearing to go,” he enthused.
Captain of the team, Ike Nwamu, stated confidently, “We are ready for sure. Everyone is ready and excited for this opportunity we have to make our country proud.”
Meanwhile the Nigeria Basketball Federation has reiterated its confidence in the team to pick the desired ticket. The board of the NBBF led by Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, noted the importance of the qualifiers, was a reason for the twin camping sessions held in Abuja and Tripoli, respectively.
He added that the whole Nigerian basketball community are solidly behind the team.
