2027 : Owerri Zone Peoples Mandate, ISU Nation Convention, agrees to work in collaborative synergy

Ahead of 2027, Imo State Gubernatorial Election, and subsequent elections in the State,Owerri Zone People’s Mandate, OWZOPEM has agreed to work in collaborative synergy with the people of Isu Nation Convention, INC so as to guarantee equity, fairness and natural justice as well as sense of belonging in the governance of the state and other stratas of government.
The groups took this decision as part of their resolutions on Sunday March 22, 2025 during a well attended leadership meeting of both groups held at Prof. Vitalis Orikeze Ajumbe’s residence off Egbu Road Owerri.
The group in a well articulated communique issued immediately after the crucial meeting and approved by all present stated as follows;
“That OWZOPEM and INC agreed that there’s absolute need for equitable distribution of political offices in Imo State, both at the Zonal, sub-zonal and Local Government Area levels such that at all times, every part of the state will have a sense of belonging in the government of the day.
“Pursuant to the 2027 governorship election in Imo State, OWZOPEM and INC will work together and in synergy with one another to elect a credible person to the office of the Governor, bearing in mind the need for equity, justice and fairness.
“In working together in this collaborative partnership, we shall consult with, and engage our brothers from Okigwe senatorial zone as well as the larger Orlu zone.
“OWZOPEM and INC shall develop an appropriate template for this collaboration.
