5 million women database to be unveiled October 17 in Abuja

A new platform that will provide women with basic information and knowledge will soon be launched in Abuja.

The platform known as 5 million women data base which is an initiative of Dr. Ejikeme Oji Community Development Foundation in collaboration with Maryam Babangida National Centre For Women Development will be launched on October, 17 at the Sandralia Hotel, Utako Abuja.

According to the convener of the platform, Dr. Ejike Oji who is the Chairman of the Management Committee Association for the Advancement of Family Planning and also the CEO of the Societal Company for FP23, the special guest of honour will be the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Benjamin Kanu while the Chief host of the day will be Dr. Asabe Vilita Bashir Ph D the Director General/ Chief Executive Officer of Maryam Babangida National Centre For Women Development.

The host will be Princess Edna Azura, ( Kwatam Mutaku), National President National Council of Women Societies to be assisted by Hon.Kafilat Ogara, House of Representatives Chairman on Women Affairs and Social Development amongst other important dignitaries.

Giving details of the data base, the convener explained that the idea came out of his over three decades of experience working in women’s health and women’s rights environments.

On how he came about the platform , he disclosed that through his experience, he discovered that a woman can act for herself if properly empowered and as such the data base is out to
give women information, skills, knowledge and ability to advertise.
” The women database is a conglomeration of all the work I have done, brought on one platform. It’s a one-stop shop for women. We want to use the database, to make sure women are linked to health information and health services.

” The first icon that you see once you register in the dashboard is an AI medic. The AI medic consults for as little as 500 Naira for 24 hours. On the side of that is a telemedicine app where you can talk to a live doctor through video.
” The icon is optimized in such a way that you can see an internet test to know what your EPS is at the point where you want to do the charts. So, based on that, you know whether you have a good video stream to be able to see the doctor. After that, you have what we call the MyDiner.

“MyDiner is for women who sell food or food items. With that, they can develop a QR code. That QR code, when uploaded and sent it to you, it will bring down their menu so you can choose an item.

Dr. Oji also explained that there are other A1 apps in the data base which was installed to ensure that women are also part of the AI technology movement, because anybody within the next 10 years that is not linked to technology will be left behind.
On eaze of doing business, he explained that there’s an e-commerce platform where a woman advertises whatever she sells and 5 million women can see it.

He further explained that the
Kamandi AI installed in the platform helps women to structure a profile in their brain as well as help them to develop a concept or a proposal, offer services and code their skills.

” We also have a training platform where women can have soft skills training, business skills in bookkeeping, entrepreneurial skills training, financial inclusion training, and gender-related issues training.
The platform also teaches women how to navigate if they notice that they’re being sexually harassed in the workplace.

“The other one is the platform for making sure women have venture capital for their businesses, especially small-time businesses. They can get up to 50,000 to 100,000 Naira every week or every month to do their small businesses, or loans, bigger loans for that. So, we’re going to be working with some financial institutions to make that happen.
