Governorship Primary:Give Maximum Support To Imo Labour Party Caretaker Committee Nnabuife Advises Members

In view of the wranglings and bickering currently engulfing the newly appointed and inaugurated Imo State leadership of Labour Party, LP, Hon. Hycineth Nnabuife has advised members of the political party to shield their swords and give maximum support to the leadership ahead of their governorship primary scheduled to hold next month.

Nnabuife who hails from Orlu senatorial zone gave this advise on Wednesday at the party’s State Secretariat in Owerri as a chieftain of the party while addressing news men on the problem of lack of leadership confidence bedveiling the party in the state.

He assured of efforts been made by the party’s stakeholders for all the members to be one page in their support and cooperation towards the activities of the State Caretaker Committee who has been saddled with the responsibility of midwifing the party’s gubernatorial primary.

According to him, “It is the wishes of majority of Imo Labour Party faithfuls that a resounding vote of confidence be passed on the National Working Committee for their alertness and responsiveness in rescuing the party from the clutches of political hyenas and jackals whose interests among others is to feast on the fortunes of the party in Imo.

This is time for all genuine members of Imo Labour Party to prove their loyalty to the party by according the newly constituted Caretaker Committee the necessary support to reposition the party within the stipulated timeline”he advised.

In another dimension,the political chieftain pointed out that among the litany of the gubernatorial aspirants jostling to pursue their Imo State governorship ambition slated for November 11th 2023, under the political platform of Labour Party that Chief Basil Maduka is the most credible among all the candidates.

He lamented that for ages now, Imo State has been entrapped with lack of accelerated development and transformation when compared with her contemporaries in Nigeria.

This he allegedly credited to lack of visionary, purposeful and good leadership insisting that Maduka has the Midas touch to transform and repositioned the Eastern Heartland State to greater glory if given the opportunity.

According to the astute politician, “Maduka is one of the Frontline governorship aspirants under Labour Party in Imo State. The aspirant made a name in oil and gas where he’s still a key player. He has contributed immensely in socioeconomic developments of Imo State through philanthropy and charity. He’s well read and globally acceptable as digital team player” he assured.

The political icon further informed that youthful Maduka who hails from Ezinihitte Mbaise where for years now known as a pillar and man of the people, attributes he said he earned due to his humane, leadership capacity and philanthropy.

He expressed optimism that LP will offer him their governorship ticket based on his popularity, integrity, pedigree and capacity to win the November slated governorship election in the State.

Nnabuife reassured that “if Labour Party gives him their governorship ticket, certainly their victory at the poll is rest assured”.

It’s pertinent to recall that Maduka during the last political dispensation had an inordinate ambition to represent the good people of Owerri Senatorial Zone in the Red Chamber’s under the political platform of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, despite his financial muscle and popularity among the delegates, he was given a political baptism of fire that frustrated him to join LP probably as the better political vehicle to achieve his political destiny.
