Showtyme records second win in Ibadan City Basketball League as Spartans, Loyola Warriors suffer back to back defeats

Showtyme Basketball Club are dictating the pace in the inaugural edition of the Ibadan City Basketball League (ICBL).
Showtyme managed by Shola Durojaiye are ticking all the right boxes as they picked up their second consecutive win in the League with a 54 to 44 points victory over The Polytechnic on Wednesday at the Loyola Basketball Court.
Another team that is enjoying a sweet win in the Ibadan City Basketball League (ICBL), is Unibadan Basketball club. They defeated Loyola Warriors on Match Day 2 by 46 to 19 points.
Layola Warriors are yet to taste the joy of victory in the League. They lost their opening game to Liberty Spears by 44-26 points on Saturday at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba.
Egbeda LG made a triumphant entry into the City Basketball League (ICBL) with a 48-41 points win over Spartans also at the same venue.
After two rounds of games, Shola Durojaiye and his Showtyme Boys are topping the log with four points. Unibadan Basketball club and The Polytechnic are on three points each while Hoop Dreams, Egbeda LG, Loyola Warriors and Liberty Spears have two points each.
However, Hoop Dreams has a game in hand.
TTP are first from the rear with just a point.
Nine Clubs are participating in the maiden edition of the Ibadan City Basketball League ICBL which is expected to run for ten weeks.
Shola Durojaiye a member of the Oyo State Basketball Association (OSSA) who is also the founder of Showtyme Basketball Club, stated that the City League is yet to get corporate backing.
Currently the passionate and committed members of the Oyo State Basketball Association (OSSA) are the ones funding this laudable project.
