National Institute for Sports (NIS) set to honor Dare, Odegbami, others

The National Institute of Sports (NIS) would during its convocation ceremony next week in Lagos bestow its fellowship on some prominent Nigerian sports personalities.
The institute’s Director General, Prof Olawale Moronkola disclosed this on Thursday while briefing the media on plans being put in place ahead of the ceremony billed for May 25.
Moronkola said sports minister Sunday Dare tops the list of dignitaries to be conferred with the fellowship of the institute.
Others on the list are former Green Eagles captain Chief Segun Odegbami, foremost veteran sports journalist Dr Larry Izamoje, business mogul Chief Kessington Adebutu ( Baba Ijebu) and sports philanthropist Mrs Modupeola Lawale.
Moronkola pointed out that the institute is honoring them with the fellowship based on their laudable contribution to the nation’s sports development.
The convocation ceremony would see a total of 530 students being awarded certificates and diplomas.
