2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers: Nigeria draws South Africa

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will have South Africa to contend with in the race to the FIFA 2026 World Cup to be co hosted by USA, Canada and Mexico.

At the draw conducted today in Côte d’Ivoire, the Eagles were put in Group C alongside South Africa, Benin, Rwanda and Lesotho.

The first round of matches are to be decided later this year.

Nigeria’s CAF director of competition, Samson Adamu was one of those who took charge of the draw.
