Oke- Ado High School ’87’ set felicitate with their former teacher, Oba Ghandi on his enthronement

The 1987 set of old students of Oke-Ado High School, Ibadan have expressed their joy seeing their former teacher Ghandi Afolabi Laoye installed as new Soun of Ogbomoso just as they prayed for his long live
on the throne of his forefathers.
This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the President of the Association Engr. Sola Olanisebe and the Secretary, Adepeju
Olukoya and made available to newsmen in Ibadan where they felicitated with the new monarch.
“We the former students of Oba Ghandi hereby send our warmest and sincerest congratulations to the new Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Laoye as he ascends to the throne of his forefathers.
“We have no doubt in our minds that Oba Ghandi is capable and well equipped by God to take Ogbomoso Kingdom to enviable height
“We recalled with nostalgia how Oba Ghandi whom we fondly called ‘Gadafi’ due to his intimidating height and the exhaustive way he taught us English language at Oke-Ado High School then.”
“We owe our teacher and our King all the support and encouragement that
will put his vision for the city on the wheel, hence, all hands must
be on deck as we call on the good people of Ogbomoso at home and in diaspora to synergise and support the new Soun to enhance peace,
progress and prosperity in the land”, the statement concluded.
