Ahead NNL coaches seminar: NIS DG rates Remo Stars Stadium facilities high

Ahead of the Nigeria  National League coaches training schedule for the Remo Stars Stadium,  Ikenne,  the facilities  at the arena has been  ranked  as world class by the Director-General of the National Institute for sports (NIS) Professor Olawale Moronkola.

According to the the DG, “I’m  impressed  with the state of the arts facilities at the Remo Stars Stadium. The facilities are not only massive,  but they are modern and compares to what obtains  in most advanced  countries. I have the opportunity of traveling to most countries  and what I’ve  seen here can compete with  those we have seen in other parts of the world.  Undoubtedly,  this is  one of the best privately owned sports complex  and other individuals  should emulate what Honourable Kunle Soname has done.”

He further affirmed, “Government  cannot  do it alone, others should equally  initiate the building of private facilities like this so that sports can thrive under the best conditions. The NIS  is open to partnering with the private sector to grow  our sports  sector. The NNL Coaches training  is the beginning  of NIS train the trainers courses. We shall continue  by taking this course to other parts of the country. Facilities  like this must be put to best use.”

The NNL/ NIS coaches training  for all the 40 coaches in the NNL  will take place from 15th-19th 2023 in Ikenne,  Ogun  State.

Former Super Eagles  players  Clement  Temile and Austin Equavoen,  Uefa  licensed  Thiago  Conde, Professor Moronkola and Kuhwa  Jeremiah  are some of the  resource  persons  to be  led by Professor Moronkola.
