FIFA 2026 World Cup: Morocco romps into Round of 16 as Germany, Holland crash out

The Atlas Lions of Morocco continued their fine run at the world stage after bundling out Holland early this morning in the on going FIFA World Cup.

Morocco sent Holland packing courtesy of a 3-2 penalty win. Full and extra time ended 1-1 only for Morocco to win the shootout.

Highly rated Germany had earlier fumbled out of the tournament by Paraguay who also won on penalties after full and extra time ended 1-1.

Morocco will on Saturday face co hosts Canada. It is recalled that Canada got into the Round of 16 after beating South Africa by a lone goal in Los Angeles.
