Karate Federation Crisis Deepens as Stakeholders Urge NSC to Intervene

The situation surrounding the Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) has continued to generate concern among stakeholders, with many describing the leadership crisis as both confusing and troubling.

The federation has reportedly conducted elections twice, with Engr. Dimkpa Chukwu emerging as the winner. However, despite the outcome of the elections, Mrs. Fausat-Yetunde Dehinde Yekinni is still allegedly parading herself as the President of the federation.

This development has raised serious concerns within the karate community, as stakeholders fear the prolonged leadership tussle could hinder the growth and development of the sport in Nigeria.

Many stakeholders are now calling on the National Sports Commission (NSC), the apex sports governing body in the country, to urgently intervene by inaugurating the duly elected winner of the election.

According to them, swift action by the NSC would put an end to the lingering uncertainty and prevent any individual from continuing to lay claim to the presidency of the federation without proper recognition.

Stakeholders insist that resolving the leadership issue is crucial to restoring stability, unity, and progress within the Karate Federation of Nigeria.
