Sam Okwaraji Secondary Schools U-16 Championship: Isu High School completes Imo Zonal winners

St Dominic’s Secondary School, Isiala Mbano will today at 2pm meet Government Secondary School Owerri in the finals of Imo State Preliminaries of the ongoing maiden FirstBank/ Sam Okwaraji National U-16 football tournament.

The match which will be played at City school pitch, Wetheral Road, Owerri is expected to be keenly contested considering the two teams performances in their zone, where they emerged winners in Okigwe and Owerri zones respectively.

The winner will represent Imo state in the South East zonal championship slated for September.

Meanwhile, secretary of the organizing committee of the championship Chidozie Achonwa, has expressed happiness with the level of football artistry being displayed at the various zone, noting that the championship is achieving it’s aim of not only honouring late Sam Okwaraji but developing the country’s grassroots football.
