Patrick Pascal commends organisers of Aisha Bala Mohammed U-15 tourney

Chairman of Bauchi State Football Association, Patrick Pascal has commended Youths Sports Federation of Nigeria ( YSFON), organisers of the ongoing annual Aisha Bala Mohammed, FNCS (Sarauniyar Bauchi) U-15 football championship for putting up a seamless competition.
The competition being sponsored by the Bauchi State First Lady, kicked off Monday with Pascal attending all the matches.
According to the ex- international, who was a product of YSFON, the oldest grassroots football organising body in the country deserves kudos and support of all Nigerians to enable them continue in their talent discovery just as he noted that the U-15 tournament currently going on in Bauchi, the Bauchi State Capital has lived up to expectation as the players are displaying good knowledge of the game.
” I’ m happy with what YSFON is doing in talent discovery and the efforts of Her Excellency to give kids hope through football and I want to tell you that the tournament is living up to expectation.
“As a person who grew through YSFON, it’s equally important I appeal to government at all levels and corporate Nigeria to continue supporting YSFON through sponsorship of their tournaments as that’s the only way we can get it right at the grassroots”, he concluded.
Meanwhile host state, Bauchi has qualified for the quarter- finals of the tournament. Other states who are through to the last eight are; Kebbi, Yobe, Jigawa, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Gombe.
All the quarter- final matches will be decided today, December, 21.
