Nigeria Skate Ball Federation President Hails It’s Demonstration At Olympic Day Celebration
..Seeks NOC Recognition

President of Nigeria Skate Ball Federation,Kedron Nkisa has expressed
happiness on the successful demonstration of the sports at last Saturday’s Olympic Day celebration even as he appealed to the Nigeria Olympic Committee ( NOC) to give full recognition to the sports to enable the Federation have a more robust working relationship with the international body.

Kedron who was highly excited with the demonstration which received standing ovation from the crowd explained that the game which was introduced in the country in 2011, as a home grown sports has received wide acceptability by the skating community in the country, noting that there’s need for it to be recognized by the NOC as that will help in further developement of the sports.
” We’ re happy that the NOC gave us permission to demonstrate this game and you can see how the crowd appreciated it.
” This is a sports we invented in this country in 2011, to keep the youths off the street, crime and other social vices and our athletes are really attached to the game but they need official recognition and support for them to be more engaged in it.
“The recognition we are seeking, will also enable us have more synergy with the world body.
Although, we have been with the international body and will send the report to them, but we need the support of NOC to grow the game further.
The President while explaining that the game has been introduced in all the 36 states of the Federation with regional coordinators, announced that Edo State did their demonstration at this year’s Olympic Day and expressed hope that next year, more States will also do theirs, during the 2027 Olympic Day celebration.
In his remarks, the Technical Director of the Federation Chidozie Nwankwo commended the NOC for their magnanimity in allowing the game to be demonstrated, describing it as a good thing to happen to the sports.
” What we did today is very wonderful. This is what we’ve been expecting in our skating industry and for the NOC to give us that recognition is very good as it enabled Nigerians and the world to see what we have been doing and we appreciate them for that”, he concluded.
