Nigeria Archery Federation Mourns The Passing of CP Hassan Saleh Gwani

The Nigeria Archery Federation, (NAFED), announces with deep sorrow the death of Commissioner of Police Alhaji Hassan Saleh Gwani mni, a valued member of our Executive Board.

Police Commissioner Gwani passed away on Monday, 20th July 2026, in Egypt, while undergoing treatment for a brief illness.

According to a statement by the Federation, he served Nigeria and the sport of archery with dedication, integrity, and commitment, noting that his contributions to NAFED and to the Nigeria Police Force will remain indelible.

The Federation prayed that Almighty Allah grants his soul eternal rest in Jannatul Firdaus, and grants his family, colleagues, and all who mourn him the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
