Best Talent Football Club of Mowe, Ogun State, announced their quality and competitive spirit with an impressive 3-2 away victory over Ilaji FC in an entertaining encounter played in Akanran, Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The visitors wasted little time making their presence felt, as Jamiu Akinola put Best Talent FC ahead as early as the 2nd minute, setting the tone for an action-packed encounter.
Ilaji FC responded almost immediately, restoring parity in the 3rd minute, but Best Talent FC showed great character and composure to regain the lead just a minute later through Cisse Ahmed Muhammad, who made it 2-1 in the 4th minute.
The Mowe-based side continued to press and were rewarded in the 21st minute when Oreoluwa Olayinka found the back of the net to extend Best Talent FC’s advantage to 3-1.
Ilaji FC refused to surrender and pulled one back in the 70th minute, setting up a tense final period. However, Adeyinka Adeyemo FC’s defence stood firm, holding on to secure a deserved 3-2 victory away from home.
The result represents another encouraging outing for Best Talent FC as the club continues to build a competitive squad and provide opportunities for young talents to develop through quality opposition.
