NFF Welcomes Falconets’ Back Home From FIFA U-20 Women World Cup

The Acting General Secretary of Nigeria Football Federation, Dr. Emmanuel Ikpeme, was at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Monday evening to receive players and officials of the U-20 women national team, Falconets, who returned to the country following their participation in the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup finals in Poland.

The Falconets lost out in the quarter-finals after conceding a stoppage-time goal to Colombia in Łódź on Sunday.

With Dr. Ikpeme to receive the team were some members of the NFF Management, including Director of Legal Services, Okey Obi Esq; Technical Director, Coach Augustine Eguavoen; Director of Protocol, Barnabas Joro; Ag. Director of Member Associations, Ali Abubakar Muhammad and; Deputy Director of Audit, Margaret Magai.
