Nigeria, Algeria, Tunisia, others for the 2026 TIZOCATA Archery Championship.

A total of 9 countries have confirmed their participation at the forthcoming 2026 TIZOCATA International Archery Championship taking place from 8-11 October 2026 in Abuja.

According to the President of the Nigeria Archery Federation, His Royal Highness, Mohammed Baba Abdullahi, the confirmed countries include, Algeria, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Cote D’ Ivoire, Guinea, Togo, Benin Republic and host country NigerI’m

In confirming this at the close of registration, the President revealed that this is the first time such International competition is being hosted in Nigeria and described the right to host as a big honour by the World Archery Federation to Nigeria.

Equally of great importance is the decision by the world Archery to host the Youth Olympic Camp in Nigeria in preparation for the 2026 International Olympic Games.

This means that all qualified Archers from Africa are to be camped in Abuja, Nigeria to enhance their performance in the Youth Olympic Games Archery event competition.

The initiative is powered by the Olympic Solidarity and the World Archery Federation, the President hinted.
