WBC Muay Thai Africa President commends Nigeria.

President of WBC Muay Thai Africa,, Hadj Bettahar has commended the WBC Muay Thai Federation of Nigeria for successfully staging a hitch free maiden WBC Muay Thai Championship in Nigeria.
Hadj who breezed into Nigeria early last week to conduct Seminar/ Workshop for Nigerian Referees and Judges ahead of the championship, expressed his satisfaction on the conduct of the event that took place in Nigeria for the very first time.

President of WBC Muay Thai Federation of Nigeria, Mr. Samuel Nweke thanked the African President for coming down to Nigeria to be part of the fun and promised to make WBC Muay Thai blossom in the country.

Meanwhile, homeboy, Sodiq Mohammed aka “Target”, was really on target when he demolished his opponent Policeman, Oyeniyi Akeem aka ‘Osaka’ whom he stopped in 1 minute, 6 seconds of round one of their 6 rounds bout via a technical knockout to emerge victorious as the undisputed Champion in the 57 kg weight category.
The fight took place on Saturday. 20 July 2024 inside the Indoor Sports hall of the National Stadium, Surulere Lagos.
