IHF Women’s U-18 Handball World Championship: Nigeria lose heavily against Croatia 

Nigeria U-18 Women handball team began their IHF Women’s U-18 Handball World Championship campaign on a losing note as they suffered a heavy 31-11 defeat to Croatia on Wednesday.

The Coach Agboola Shittu Adewunmi’s tutored team could not match up to their opponent and it showed as they lost the first half 16-6

The second half was pretty much the same as Nigeria could not score more than five goals despite having more shots against Croatia which earned them 31-11 defeat against the top European side.

Croatia were the better side all through as they had a 66% shot efficiency better than the 42% Nigeria had. Nigeria had a total 52 shots as against that of Croatia which was 47 shots but they couldn’t just put the balls into the net while their opponent did.

Nigeria’s next match is against Montenegro at 7am on Thursday.
