Benin Republic Pro-Wrestling Scribe welcomes PWA Secretary General to Cotonou

Wrestling Federation, Bissi Kayode Mohinou has welcomed the Secretary General of the Pro- Wrestling Africa (PWA), Olusesan Olukoya to the country
Olukoya is in Cotonou to supervise the inauguration of professional wrestling in that country on Saturday, September, 7, 2024 and Kayode said his visit is highly welcome as it will help in the full introduction of the mats man game in the Francophone country
“We in Benin Republic are highly excited with the arrival of the Secretary General of Pro- Wrestling Africa ( PWA), Olusesan Olukoya and his team to our country where he’s expected to officially inaugurate professional wrestling tomorrow.
” We want to assure him that his visit will be most memorable as we’ve put all logistics on ground for a successful inauguration and after tomorrow, we look forward for more benefitting partnership with PWA in order to further develop the game in our country”, he said.
Meanwhile, Olukoya has stated that the Benin Republic inauguration will open a new chapter in professional wrestling not only in the West African Sub- region but the entire African continent.
The PWA scribe who was excited with the reception accorded to him since arrival in Cotonou expressed hope that the sports will benefit youths of the country immensely after the inauguration.
I’m happy to be here and most excited with the reception accorded to me by my hosts. It shows that together we can move the game of wrestling forward in the continent and I look forward to a memorable event tomorrow”, he stressed.
They also used the occasion of the reception to discuss the rules and regulations of the sports, objectives and goals of Pro- Wrestling Africa as the apex body seeing to the growth and development of professional wrestling in Africa as an affiliate to the parent body: Golden Wrestling Federacy (GWF) based in Florida in the USA under the auspices of Allied Independent Wrestling Federations (AIWF)
