The registration deadline for the 2024 Lekki Scrabble Classics set for the 24th of this month is fast approaching as organisers appeal to players to complete the process ahead of time.
This edition has been touted to be the biggest by a club with an eye-popping one million naira as top-cash prize.
Spot prizes have also been marked up as well as other enticing prizes.
Stirring up excitement across the scrabble landscape, the executive members of the Lekki Scrabble Club further confirmed it’s readiness to give every registered player an experience beyond their expectations.
Speaking during an open session with the scrabble community, Nsikak Nyam encouraged would be participants to sign up as the Club offers the best of experience in organised scrabble tournament.
He advised them to complete their registration using the link: https://lekkiscrabbleclub.com/event/lekki-classics ahead of the deadline fixed for Tuesday September 24.
“We are well ahead of schedule on all the long lead items. The venue is fully ready, thanks to the kind support of PANASA, we also have enough boards and other playing materials to host the tournament. So players just need to show up and play.
We are finalising some of the smaller details as we get a clear picture of how many players have registered, so once the deadline closes and we have our confirmed number, we will finalise all the other details like breakfast, lunch, refreshments and the number of side events we will host.”
This edition will be supported by Loense International, Front-page Couture, Midasfarms, MGi, Elcrest E&P, Ayodele Thomas Consulting, Julyet Peters and AGPC.
Past editions of the tournament has enjoyed a high number of participants and this year observers believed, could be over-subscribed going by the fresh innovations introduced by the leadership of the club.
