Nigeria National League Club Owners and Managers Association (NALCOMA) has hailed the appointment of Mallam Shehu Dikko as the Chairman of the reestablished National Sports Commission (NSC).

In a release signed by the President of the body, Godwin Enakhena, NALCOMA described the appointment as commendable, considering the experience of the former Chairman of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).

Dikko, who was 2nd Vice President of Nigeria Football Federation and member of FIFA and CAF Committees was yesterday, Wednesday October 23rd, appointed as the Chairman of the NSC following the scrapping of the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to Enakhena, “We at NALCOMA believe that your experience as a sports administrator, a marketing expert and foremost international Match Commissioner will provide the much needed leverage for you to make the difference in this new assignment.

“As a notable sports personality, your new responsibility as the Chairman of the NSC will definitely present you with a new opportunity to once again build on the grounds already covered, as well as the opening of new grounds.

“On behalf of NALCOMA I warmly and heartily congratulate you on the well deserved consideration.

NALCOMA equally commended President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for taking the bold step towards returning the lost glory of Nigeria among the comity of Nations as far as Sports sector is concerned.
