H&B Global soccer tourney out to develop young players and coaches – Abiodun

Renowned football instructor and former Sunshine Stars Head Coach Henry Abiodun said the on-going H&B Global Sports Under-15 and 16 Boys and Girls football tournaments in Akure are put together to easily help develop young players’ technical skills and give their coaches the opportunity to evaluate levels of development.

Abiodun, who seems to have a keen interest in football coaching education with his package, ‘The Modern-day Football Coach Workshop,’ said his firm; H&B Global Sports is also using the tourney to create opportunities for the coaches to grow their technical knowhow.

“I would be available at all the games to further mentor them. We grant and record prematch interviews and half-time pep talks and post it on our platforms to encourage the coaches and improve the confidence of grassroots football coaches, etc.”

“It is part of H&B Global Sports Football activities to create a platform for coaches and football players to continue to develop. H&B Global Sports is a sports consulting company with H&B Football Club as a branch saddled with the responsibility to develop young football players,” he noted.

The tournament, which had kicked off since the 22nd of October with the male category where winners were presented gifts and trophies by the Vice President of H&B Global Sports, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwabukola Abiodun, is expected to end with the female final scheduled for Tuesday, the 29th of October.
