Yucateco Boxing League: Hostilities resumes in Lagos

Boxing fans in Lagos can anticipate another night of fun and excitement as hostilities returns to the center of excellence for the week 13 events of the Yucateco boxing league Season 2.

After what boxing experts have described as a hugely successful Week 12 brawl in Kano State last weekend, the stage is now set for another super packed fight night at the Yucateco Arena in Ikorodu “today” Friday 29th November 2024.

Fifty pugilists of all weights categories are set to fly the colors of their respective clubs across 25 bouts on the fight card. In some of the fixtures. Samuel Odunayo of E-Francis Aiyegbeni Boxing Club will Lock-horns against Rotimi Ayodele of Progreso Boxing Club. Ayodeji Moses of AKIL Boxing Club will battle Joseph Inyang of Harmony Boxing Club while Tijani Qudus of Miramontes will square up against Fawaz Sharafadeen of Angulo Siete. Technical Director of the Yucateco Boxing League, Babatunde Laguda said all is set for another record breaking night of action as the season enters its second phase.

” We are now in the crucial second phase of the season and you can be rest assured that the boxers will be approaching the bouts with grit and a higher level technicalities, it’s a 25 bouts fight card and you can be rest assured of fireworks from start to finish”.

A total of 305 bouts have been completed thus far in season 2 of the ongoing Yucateco boxing league. Twelve accredited boxing clubs are competing for the grand prize of N50 Million naira.
