Lagos Women Run CEO Rewards Empowerment Programme Beneficiaries

Call it Christmas Bonus or End of the Year Bonanza, you may not be wrong.
But the truth here is that, those women who actually believe that participating in the Lagos Women Run Empowerment Workshop will change their lives positively, have handsomely be rewarded as no fewer than 20 of them got their cash awards.courtesy of Ms. Tayo Kuburat Popoola, the Chief Executive Officer( CEO) of the Lagos Women Run.
Totalling 20 women, including grand mothers who participated at the 2024 Lagos Women Run weeklong Free Empowerment Workshop held from 5-8 November 2024, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, got their cash awards.
With #1,000000 set aside as rewards, each of the twenty women got #50,000 cash reward.
The CEO of the Lagos Women Run Tayo Kuburat Popoola, on Saturday 14 December 2024 presented the cash awards to the 20 beneficiaries as they were present in person to collect the financial awards at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The Women Empowerment Co-ordinator, Mrs. Sidikat Folami and Mrs. Ada Obaje, were equally on hand in assisting Ms. Tayo Popoola in presenting the checks to the awardees.
In receiving the reward, the over excited Miss. Ibrahim Kamilat Tinuade who came all the way from Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital, thanked Ms Tayo Popoola, the CEO of the Lagos Women Run for being a symbol of Leadership and trust by keeping up to her words and promise of identifying the serious participants and reaching out to them before the year runs out.
Speaking further, Miss Ibrahim Kamilat Tinuade, said she just came to the Teslim Balogun Stadium to collect her kit which contains her race number and T-Shirt and go back home
But after picking up the kit, an inner voice asked her why she was rushing home whereas the elderly ones were all staying behind listening to empowerment lectures and taking notes.
So she listened to the voice and stayed to take lessons.
And for her cash awards, she said there is no Christmas celebration with the money more so when the economy of the country is in bad shape.
Another beneficiary, Miss. Ogun Oluwatosin, commended The Women Run CEO, Ms Tayo Popoola for being magnanimous and promised to use her cash award wisely.
According to her, what she learnt at the 2024 Lagos Women Run Empowerment programme and the attended benefits are already reflecting positively in her life even before the #50,000 cash award having learnt a lot from the workshop.
“Part of the lessons and benefits have graduated me from being wasteful to riches”, she concludes during an exclusive nterview. .
