High Cost of Poultry Products: Oyo PAN Chairman seeks consumers understanding
The Chairman, Poultry Association of Nigeria (PAN), Oyo State Branch, Pastor Oyekunle Omidokun, has pledged to uphold the standards that have made poultry products a staple in households across the state and beyond while seeking their understanding over the hike in poultry products during this festive season.
Oyo PAN Boss reiterated this in his goodwill message he issued and made available to the press in Ibadan, where he extended his heartfelt greetings and appreciation to all poultry farmers in the state for their resilience and unwavering commitment to the poultry industry amidst the challenges they have faced this year.
“There is no doubt that the volatility of raw material prices has put our determination to the test. But I strongly advise you to be firm in your activities and refrain from panic buying. Let’s put our collective faith in the market’s eventual stabilization so that the choices we make now will lead to a more successful and sustainable future.
“We have a special chance this season to increase our access to lucrative markets for our chicken products. We can greatly improve food security in our communities while increasing the value and visibility of our crops by cooperating and utilizing our combined strength.
“Our goal is to provide the country with the most reasonably priced and nutrient-dense animal protein possible, not merely to make money.
“To our cherished consumers, we remain committed to providing you with high-quality poultry products that nourish and sustain. Your continued patronage is a testament to the trust you place on us, and we pledge to uphold the standards that have made poultry products a staple in households across the state and beyond.”
As we celebrate this festive season, let us approach it with optimism, hope, and a renewed determination to navigate the challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead. Together, we can ensure a brighter future for our industry, our families, and our communities,” Elder Omidokun stated
