Nigerian Abdulhamid gets WTO appointment

World Trade Organisation ( WTO) General Council on February 18, 2025, approved the appointment of Ambassador (Dr) Adamu Mohammed Abdulhamid of Nigeria as the Chairperson of the Committee of Trade in Services Special Session with effect from February 2025.
Prior to this appointment, he held various positions in the WTO such as the Chairpersons of Trade Facilitation Committee(TFC), Council for Trade in Goods( CTG), Trade Policy Review Body (TPRB) and also holds national position as the Ambassador of Nigeria to the WTO.
This is appointment is commendable to the present administration of Nigeria in General and the Ministry of Industry, Trade and investment under the Honorable Minister Dr. Jumoke Oduwole and the Permanent Secretary, Amb. Nura Abba Rimi.
