
The Nigeria Mini Football Association (NMA) has appointed Nigerian ex-International, Victor Ikpeba Nosa MON, as its new Ambassador.
This decision, according to a statement from the body, was made unanimously by the Board of the NMA, in recognition of his outstanding and consistent contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria.
Victor Ikpeba Nosa MON, who received the official letter of appointment from the association, expressed his gratitude and joy in accepting the role, stating his unwavering commitment to supporting the growth of sports in Nigeria.
Born on June 12, 1973, Victor Ikpeba Nosa is a renowned figure in Nigerian football. He has represented both the Nigerian U-23 and senior national teams, earning 31 appearances during his decade-long career with the national side from 1992 to 2002. Ikpeba’s impressive career includes participation in major international competitions such as the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, and the Africa Cup of Nations.
Throughout his professional playing career, Ikpeba graced clubs across Africa, Asia, and Europe, including ACB Lagos, Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, and Al-Ittihad Tripoli, among others. His remarkable achievements as a player include winning the prestigious African Footballer of the Year award in 1997, an Olympic gold medal, the Africa Cup of Nations title, a Ligue 1 title, and numerous other accolades.
The NMA’s decision to appoint Victor Ikpeba Nosa MON as Ambassador is a testament to the remarkable legacy he has built in Nigerian football and his continued dedication to promoting Nigerian and African sports.
