Player’s transfer: Rangers, Doma United on war path over Emmanuel Jesam

NPFL side, Rangers International of Enugu and NNL outfit Doma United FC are on war path over Emmanuel Jesam ahead of the new domestic soccer season.

Days after Rangers unveiled the player, Doma has raised alarm insisting that Jesam is still their player.

”We wishes to address recent developments concerning our player, Emmanuel Jesam. We wish to express our disappointment after seeing pictures circulating of Jesam posing with a Rangers International FC jersey and being unveiled by an official of the club. We wish to categorically state that Emmanuel Jesam is still under a valid contract with Doma United, and at no point has there been any official communication, negotiation, or agreement between Doma United and Rangers International regarding the transfer of the player.
This action by Rangers International FC is both improper as such can undermine the integrity of club to club relations and disregards standard transfer procedures.

We hereby notify the general public, football stakeholders, the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and the Nigeria Football Federation that Emmanuel Jesam remains a player of Doma United FC. We will not hesitate to take all necessary and appropriate measures to protect our rights and ensure that due process is followed.

We call on Rangers International FC to immediately clarify their actions and respect the contractual obligations in place.”
