New FCT Coaches Association Executive Takes Oath of Office

The newly elected executive members of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Coaches Association were, over the weekend, sworn into office for a four-year tenure.

The inauguration, which marked a fresh chapter for the association, followed the election held on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The newly sworn-in officers include Bartholomew David (Chairman), Emmanuel Agbo (Vice Chairman 2), Isah Mohammed (Assistant Secretary), Lawrence Sunday (Training Officer), Mary Godspower (Financial Secretary), Tijani Bilikisu (Treasurer), Paul Tanko (Auditor), and Adanna Nwaneri (Welfare Officer).

However, some key positions, including Vice Chairman 1, Secretary, Assistant Training Officer, Provost, and Public Relations Officer, remain vacant, as the candidates for these offices, despite running unopposed, were unable to secure the required number of votes to be elected.

In his acceptance speech, the new Chairman, Bartholomew David, urged his fellow executives to work diligently to take the association “to the next level.”

“Incidents that happened during the election have shown all executive members that it’s no longer business as usual,” he said. “Members of the congress are watching and will not hesitate to take their decisions at the appropriate time.”

David assured members that the new leadership would prioritize the retraining of coaches, noting that the FCT boasts the highest number of coach educators recently trained by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He expressed gratitude for the trust reposed in the new executives and promised that the team would not disappoint.

“We ask for your continued support as we work together for the growth of our association,” he added.

The swearing-in ceremony has set the stage for renewed efforts in strengthening coaching standards and professional development within the FCT.
