
Several former Nigeria Women Football stars under the aegis of United Ex Super Falcons of Nigeria Worldwide have poured encomiums on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Chairman National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko for appreciating women football Players and vowing to do more.
The likes of Kikelomo Ajayi, Prisca Emeafu and Patience Avre Odeli were in extacic mood after Wednesday ‘s online meeting with several ex Falcons Players , declaring their appreciation for Tinubu for splashing millions ,land and National honours on Falcons as they won WAFCON title in Morocco.
Ajayi said the Tinubu Administration has inspired millions of women football Players with his splendid gesture.
The ex captain said the nation stand to gain from the Tinubu initiative while also pleading with the Presidency to appreciate and honour and appreciate previous heroines.
US based Patience Avre Odeli lauded Mallam Shehu Dikko for offering positive advice to the Presidency.
“United ex Super Falcons players monitored comments of Mallam Dikko in a youth rendezvous in Abuja and we were completely impressed with his vision.
“Dikko said they have made their recommendations to President Tinubu who has to use his discretion to honour and reward many of us that shedded sweat and blood to bring honour to Nigeria. For us it’s a new dawn for Nigerian sports ‘.
Prisca Emeafu, an ex Super Falcons Vice Captain based in Ireland, said lots of her colleagues globally would have been living better lives now if they had a responsible Tinubu/Dikko partnership in their time.
” Present Falcons were lucky unlike the setting in my generation. Some of us won AWC now WAFCON but had no dime from government, NFF and Sports Ministry. I had a severe leg dislocation when Armed Robbers stormed Super Falcons camp at Obasanjo Farms Otta .
I got disfigured yet I was not honoured or appreciated in any way.
“Some other players are suffering because of irresponsible leadership. It’s our prayers that President Tinubu and Mallam Shehu Dikko would correct the mistake of the past and show us love “, said Emeafu.
U S based Martha Tarhemba also thanked Mr. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for their generosity and prayed she gets the much needed forty Thousand Dollars for surgery on knee injury she suffered while in camp of Super Falcons before a FIFA Women’s World cup.
