Durosinlorun thumbs up Ex Squash Pros In Diaspora, calls for more corporate support for the game

Technical Chairman of Nigeria Squash Federation, Yusuf Durosinlorun has commended the Ex Squash Pros In Diaspora for their consistency in organizing their annual junior national championship; saying that they have done excellently well in developing the game at the grassroots.

The Sixth edition of the annual Ex Squash Pros In Diaspora tournament was rounded up last Saturday at the Squash Court of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos and Durosinlorun was full of praises for their efforts at moving the game forward.

” We’re really proud of Ex Pro In Diaspora who have been consistent in organizing this championship especially at the grassroots for the past six years. You can see that this time around, they introduced U-11, U-13 and U- 16 and am so much impressed with the standard especially at the U-11 category.

” The players really impressed me with their strokes. Their footwork are very perfect and their ball distribution very impressive and we’re happy that this type of programme is coming up annually.

Durosinlorun appealed to governments at all levels, stakeholders and corporate organizations to emulate them and partner with the Federation to move the game forward.especially at the grassroots.

” I want to use this opportunity to appeal to stakeholders, government and corporate organizations to come and see what these people are doing. They should come and collaborate with the Ex- Pros and the Federation to encourage this sports and move it to the next level.

” You will also notice that this kind of tournament is like a succession planning for these kids to take over from the U-19 and U-23 and from there move to the men and ladies categories and go ahead to represent the country at the highest level”, he concluded
