NFF bigwigs Commends Taiwo Salami for Upholding Father’s Legacy of Good Football Administration

The 1st Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation and former Chairman of Enyimba FC of Aba, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu; NFF 2nd Vice President and NPFL Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye; and the Chairman of the Nigeria National League (NNL), George Aluo, were all full of commendations for the Chairman of 3SC, Hon. Salami, for his unwavering dedication to the revival of Shooting Stars and his contributions to enhancing Oyo State’s image through sports.

These NFF bigwigs, who are in Ibadan during the weekend, for the NFF 2025 Annual General Assembly and the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier against Rwanda, made the remarks during a dinner held for them by Hon. Salami.

Chief Anyansi-Agwu, in his remarks, thumped up Hon. Taiwo Salami for his pragmatic approach since being appointed to lead the traditional club, which is fast yielding positive results with improved revenue generation, which will soon position the club for financial sustainability.

Speaking in the same vein, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye charged the 3SC boss to continue with his pragmatic approach to the club, describing him as a beacon of consistency and a model of exemplary leadership. He emphasized the importance of maintaining this momentum and encouraged the entire team to rally behind Hon. Salami’s vision.
“With collective effort and dedication, they can elevate the club to new heights and ensure its long-term success,” said the NPFL Boss.

George Aluo, the NNL boss, in his remarks said football management is in the DNA of the Lekan Salami family; hence the shrewdness exhibited by Hon. Salami since assuming the leadership position in the management of Shooting Stars, saying the club will definitely achieve great things.
“This unwavering commitment to excellence is expected to inspire both players and fans alike, fostering a renewed sense of pride in the club’s heritage. As the community rallies around this vision, the potential for growth and achievement appears limitless,” Aluo noted.
