On Saturday, October 11, the ever-busy city of Lagos will get a different but refreshing wave of buzzing. It will be a serene type that marks the presence of God Almighty.
Bishop Abayomi Anthony Olorunsaiye, the Senior Pastor of the Cornerstone Christian Leadership Centre (House of Mercy) UK, is in Lagos in a very significant way. He has ministered in Lagos many times and for many years before he left the country nearly two decades ago, but he has been able to make this return for a special purpose for the church and humanity with a programme tagged Lagos Holy Ghost Revival Service.
The one-day event is billed to be held at Freude’s Place, 23 Ikorodu Road, Wasimi, Maryland, Lagos.
Bishop Abayomi explains the call to duty this time.
“The programme is a response to God’s instruction, and it is focused on igniting the fire revival in the body of Christ. The church today needs a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit for the purpose of a spiritual awakening. The church is God’s idea to help the World know and serve God. The church is the light of the World, and it is time for the church to be the church. God’s end-time agenda is empowering the church to become an agent of change in this world.”
In his 30 years of ministry, Bishop Abayomi has never had the pull to the level of what he is doing this time for a conference. He has the utmost faith that the programme in Maryland, Lagos, today and the other centres.
“We just started the Holy Ghost Revival conference this year, and we have done it in London and Calgary in Canada. Lagos is now the next and third city,” he explained on arrival in Lagos from the UK.
It is a three-hour programme with a simple goal: To strengthen the church. The clergyman says he is simply an instrument in God’s hand to ignite the fire of revival in the lives of those who will attend. He emphasised that it is not his plan to open a church in Nigeria.
“No, I am not here to open a new church. We want people’s spiritual life ignited, and then they will go back to their churches and strengthen the hands of their pastors in doing the work of the Kingdom.
“Our main focus is strengthening churches. We are not here to start churches but to strengthen the existing ones through this divine mandate. Every Pastor needs help, and having been a pastor for over 30years, I know this is true.
“We have come to add our voice to the voices of the Pastors who are doing their best already. Many pastors who encourage their members to attend will see the positive impact it will have on their work.”
After the Lagos event, there will be more in 2026 in Dallas, Texas, Maryland, Washington, DC and from the USA, the revival train will cross the ocean to Glasgow, Scotland and then another cross over the sea to Abuja, Nigeria. The 026 events will not round off without the schedules for Toronto, Canada and Calgary, Canada.

His work as a full-time minister of the Gospel has spanned over three decades, full of divine encounters and glorious kingdom exploits to the glory of God.
Bishop Abayomi has been involved in the planting of many churches both in Africa and Europe. As part of his calling as a prophet to the Body of Christ, he has helped in reviving many ailing churches to the glory of God. He is a teacher, preacher, author and trainer.
With the help of the Holy Spirit, he has authored the following books: No More Containment, The Believer, The Bridge and the Blessing, the Mystery of Destiny, Accessing the Power of God, The Power of Praise, Leadership in Crisis and Taking Your Life Beyond the Present.
He is particularly driven in ministry by the desire to see people experience a new beginning in areas of their lives where they have been battered, bruised and broken. His ministry cuts across different echelons of life.
