SWAN @ 60: Elegbeleye Bags Diamond Jubilee Award
Chairman of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) , Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye has been nominated for the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria Diamond Jubilee Award.
According to a letter by the association signed by it’s National Secretary, Ikenna Okonkwo, the award is in recognition of his resilient and sustained development drive in the Nigerian sports ecosystem.
“This award is been confered on you in recognition of your sustained contributions to the development of the country’s sports ecosystem.
” Through you, a number of young people with sports talents have realized their potentials and develop to stardom, breathing life to many homes and communities within Nigeria and beyond”, says the statement.
The award which is slated for Friday, October 31, 2025 at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja is part of activities marking the association’s 60th anniversary.
