Day Yala Nkum community in Cross River State stood still for late Chief Obibia

It was a special day in Orom village on Saturday November 8 when late Chief Obibia Erim Obibia was laid to rest in Yala Nkum community in Ikom LGA of Cross River State.

The burial of the prominent community leader and renowned cocoa farmer popularly known as Shadow was graced by family members, friends, well wishers and in-laws from far and near.

After the well attended burial ceremony the family did a thanksgiving service at the Presbyterian church of Nigeria Yala -Nkum parish on Sunday November 9.

Speaking after the burial of their father who died at 79, His Royal Highness Chief Moses Ogar Ofuka who spoke on behalf of the family described late Obibia as a peace loving man who would be missed greatly by the Yala Nkum community and Orom village in particular.

“Our late father was a peace loving man and we would miss him greatly. May his gentle soul rest in peace,” were his words.
